about us
Calyx le timbre is produced by Jasmine & Yuri Zinenko on unceded Wurundjeri land in the Upper Yarra Ranges.
Their winery and property is located in Millgrove at the base of Mount Donna Buang, along the Yarra River.
With a love for all things fermentable, we are working towards our goal of finding a nearby site to grow nutrient-rich grapes, among other crops, with diversity and conservation as priorities. Fruit is currently sourced from small independent vineyards across Victoria that share our values.
In addition to making small batches of unique wine, they run Vinoshis, a neighbourhood bottle shop & wine bar in Melbourne’s inner northeast.
Yuri’s label calyx began in 2017 with a small batch of syrah whilst working at Mount Langhe Ghiran in the Victorian Pyrenees. Yuri has studied winemaking and worked over 16 harvests in wineries across Australia and abroad in France, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
Jasmine’s label le timbre was created in 2015 with one tonne of syrah whilst studying viticulture and working as a Sommelier. Her love of Riesling led her to the Mosel in Germany where she worked in Rita & Rudolf Trossen’s biodynamic vineyards in 2017.
In 2024 calyx le timbre was created. It has been a long time in the making, so every bit of support makes a big difference to our livelihood and achieving our goals. We’re learning more and more that good things take time and to enjoy the journey.
Thanks for your support.
